Julie Estes, Owner & Principal Designer

For Julie Estes, founder, owner, and principal designer of Carlisle Design, the legacy of her company lies in strong relationships.  The trust and experience that she has established over 20 years with builders, architects, and tradespeople are the foundation upon which good design is built. These inherent values of Julie’s firm allow clients to both trust and enjoy the design process. Clients become friends as Julie’s attentive and collaborative approach leads them through their projects, bringing beautiful and functional designs to life for both residential and commercial clients.

Julie has always been designing! From the day she received the big box of 96 Crayola crayons as a child, she started pairing colors, hues, and tones! The granddaughter of a gifted artist, she has a passion for original art and a desire to see art everywhere. As the mother of four children, Julie learned the tremendous importance of function and the cherished memories created in a space. Intentional with every detail, she believes a home should reflect our past, make us content in our present, and heighten our excitement for the future. Her own home can be described as updated traditional with rich colors intuitively layered with patterns, warm woods, nostalgic touches, and a variety of original art.

With deep roots in Carlisle, Julie is committed to serving and supporting the local community through the work and service of Carlisle Design. She has sourced from local vendors before #shoplocal was trending, has celebrated local artisans whenever possible in their projects, and has sought out opportunities to partner with local non-profits and mission-based organizations that could benefit from design services. Julie's goal, as a designer and as a business owner, is and always has been to build a design firm that enhances the lives of her clients and supports the community around her.
