During her 30 years as a military spouse, Stella Wilson, has made many different houses into “home”. Though no two were alike in size or style, she loved the challenge of creating in each of them, a home that was comfortable, functional, warm, and personal. She learned to work within a challenging budget, find creative solutions to design problems, and find great vintage pieces in need of new life. Her style can best be described as a mix of vintage and modern with bold colors and great finds mixed in. She believes a home should reflect the people that live there and feel personal, warm, and inviting!
Stella’s role as Resource Coordinator is to find the great one-of-a-kind, antique, vintage or bespoke pieces that add something special to a space–that gorgeous farm table with lots of patina, an artisan piece to grace an entryway or style a bookcase, a vintage cast iron sink for your mud room, industrial pendant lights for your work space, old barn wood to clad an accent wall. The possibilities are endless and exciting as Carlisle Design continues to grow and take on new and exciting projects!
You’ll find Stella at estate sales, auctions and old barns searching for a diamond in the rough. Her network includes private collectors, antique dealers, online sellers and salvage companies. She works with artisans and tradesman to create that perfect piece for a client. A finder at heart, she loves searching out a well-made quality piece perfect for someone’s home or workplace.
Stella lives in a wonderfully renovated mid-century home with her husband, Jeff, two daughters, and a naughty chocolate Labrador. Her oldest daughter, husband and grandbaby live nearby!
