For the Love of Vintage, July 2024
You’ve probably noticed that we’ve leaned into using select vintage pieces in our design spaces these past few years.
We love mixing the warmth, character, and patina of a great found piece into classic and contemporary design. Some call it mixing high and low. It works like this:
A high-end sofa from a quality vendor is paired with grandmother’s favorite armchair done over in a beautiful designer fabric. A custom dining room table is combined with sleek vintage Scandinavian chairs in a buttery new leather. A dated storage piece is transformed into a gorgeous functional bar cabinet with moody paint and wallpaper. Built-ins get styled with classic books, vintage pottery, blown glass, and artwork—found pieces full of character and craftsmanship. Beautiful things, made to last for generations stand the test of time.
We love the warm, inviting, collected look of a room with a few thoughtful vintage details! And boy, do we love that their new life in our clients’ homes keeps them out of the landfill! That’s a win-win!
